As for Bobcats, they do exist and try to keep hidden. They are mostly roaming and foraging for food in the dawn and dusk hours of a day. Don't ever try to pet one, they are a wild cat !
You made a very good point about bobcats being a wild animal. We just need to let them be and they shouldn't be a bother to anyone.
