Isn’t color beautiful?
Just think about it. What would it be like to only see things in shades of grey? I would think that the world would look boring. Grey sky, grey grass, grey flowers? Nope, not for me and I am very thankful that I can see all the different colors of this world. The blue sky, the green grass, and the pink flowers…
The color pink is my favorite but I don’t expect everything to be pink. I believe that God created this world the way he did for a reason. With the sky being blue much of the time and the earth itself being decorated with various types and colors of dirt, sand, rock, water, etc. The same can be said about all the different people in this world. I wouldn’t want to see just all white people or all black people. Variety to me is good and we can always learn new things from each other.
To me color in this world brings interest and excitement. It should feel pleasurable and sometimes soothing. Like seeing the shades of blues and greens in parts of the ocean. Or the white clouds sun-kissed with pinks and oranges. Or even the little child wearing a big red bow on top of a head full of curly dark hair. Being able to see different colors is a blessing and an honor. Not everyone can see all colors.
So, let’s look around at how beautiful our world is. We may have our favorite color like pink, but without all the others it would be just another grey.
Until next time, take care and God bless.
I enjoyed this ! Well said.
My sister has a son who is color blind to all colors. He was home alone watching TV when my sister got home one day. He was in grade school. She asked him why he didn't fix the colors on the screen. His answer was "we have a color TV?" She couldn't believe nobody knew. She asked how in the lower grades he always got good grades on the papers that said color the sky blue, the grass green etc. He said he always looked at the crayon labels and matched them to the colors the papers said to use. She has another son who doesn't see reds and greens. They found that out one night when they went to open house at his school. He told them to be sure a look at his Santa Clause picture. He said he put big red lips on him so they could tell his from all the others. He was with them but he wouldn't point it out. They said they couldn't find it. He took them right to it and said look, big red lips. There was Santa with big green lips. My son doesn't see reds and greens either. My dad was born with cataracts in both eyes and didn't see colors either. When he was in his twilight years he finally had them removed and he could ser colors for the first time. He was like a kid in the candy store. "What color is this, and this, and this etc. All my growing up years when he was doing electrical things at home we had to help him get the correct color wires hooked up. My favorite color is purple.
