Hello everyone, I hope that you all are doing well. With my work schedule this season I haven't had a lot of down time which has left the creative side of my brain is a bit sluggish. I wanted to write something for you this Monday but was not sure what to write about. Sometimes life can get very busy and sometimes even stressful, but we must press on.
I say that because at work last week we had a truck with about 20,000 pieces on it. Processing and distributing the items from a truck is expected to be done within two - three days. Well, this particular and very large truck didn't get entirely done. Then on top of that, we had corporate visitors expected which created tension for my boss. But what I didn't understand was, why she was so stressed out about it. We had a virtual visit a week before and they said that the store looked great.
Now, the following day after the corporate visitors left, we heard that the visit went very well. Even with a lot of merchandise on the dock waiting to be processed, they said that it was to be expected. So, why do bosses get so stressed out with corporate visits? Especially if the team of workers that they have under them do their best to get things done. I may never understand that. Oh, and I forgot to mention that that truck was the first of two trucks in one week. Busy, busy, busy.
Is that move by corporate a way to test all of us? And why do it during the holidays? It makes me wonder. But anyway, so that's what I've been busy with. I still have a full week this week, but next week I'll have some much needed down time. Maybe I'll put together a short Christmas story for you then. I will have a Happy Thoughts post for you Tuesday and hopefully schedule a Dukee and Mia story for Wednesday. Until then, have a wonderful day.
