Meet princess Mia, she is half Maincoon and half Siberian. She is a beautiful two-year-old kitten that loves to be noticed and pampered. Mia lives in a luxurious home with lots of toys and comfy places to lay. She has her own maid service who waits on her every demand. She calls her maid “Mom”, just to reassure her that she’s important. As Mia has instructed her, Mom makes sure that she gets her breakfast around 6 am every morning. If Mom is late, Mia will let her know in a certain way.
When Princess Mia was real little she was found under the hood of a car by two very nice ladies. Thankfully those ladies found her before she got hurt. Those nice ladies were a lot of fun and took good care of her for about a month. Mia then moved to a different city and now lives in the same house as Mom her maid. Every day Mom takes the time to play with Mia when Mia chooses to that is. Mom makes sure that her favorite toys are available at all times. That means that she will have to look under the furniture a lot.
Some of Mia’s favorite things to do is play in boxes of all sizes, and toss her stuffed animal, Lamb-chop around. She also hits and chases around a little plastic purple ball. Mom had received a package the other day, and it had some long thick brown paper stuffed in it. She set that paper up on the floor so that Mia could go in and out of it like it was a cave. Mom is really good that way, always making sure that Mia has a fun time.
One day Princess Mia overheard Mom talking on that thing that she puts to her ear. She heard her tell it that it can come live with us. Mia didn’t understand that since it was already here.
Mom put the thing that she was talking to down and said, “Mia, your Auntie is coming to live with us and she is bringing Dukee.”
Mia had no idea what an Auntie or a Dukee was, but she rubbed on Mom’s leg to acknowledge her. Mom had a lot of work to do to get the room ready for Auntie. That was her crafting room and she had a lot to pack up. Mia was going to miss that room because she had some fun times in there. She would play with ribbon, climb all over stuff, and snatch up any small loose item that Mom might have dropped.
It was going to be at least a month before Auntie and Dukee moved in, but Princess Mia decided to help Mom the best she could. She knew that the more time Mom spent in that room, was less time spent pampering her.

Have you read any James Herriot stories?
Or, A Dog's Purpose? This collection reminds me a little bit of both. Who doesn't love an anthropomorphized pet? I'm a fan!
