When Dukee walked out of his bedroom and down the hall, he saw Mia crouched down in front of the refrigerator. She was looking underneath it. So Dukee walked into the kitchen and walked up behind her.
“What are you doing?” Dukee asked.
Mia jumped back, “oh my goodness you scared me.”
“Sorry,” Dukee giggled.
“Ever since I moved here, this thing makes a strange sound sometimes… So I’m looking to see if I can see anything under there,” Mia looked at Dukee.
“What, do you think that there is a monster or something under there?” Dukee looked at the refrigerator.
“No… I don’t know what it is,” Mia said.
“But you look under there a lot, do you ever see anything?” Dukee asked.
“No… But someday I will figure it out,” Mia turned and walked into the dining room.
Dukee giggled and followed her as she continued to walk into the front living room. Mia went into her litter box cabinet to do her business while Dukee jumped up onto the blanket on top of the litter box cabinet.
“Hey, I’m trying to do something in here,” Mia called out.
“Sorry,” Dukee looked out the window.
It was dark out now so there wasn’t too much to see outside. Occasionally a tree frog will show up on the window, but other than that it’s pretty quiet at night. Just then, Mia ran out of the litter box cabinet and into the kitchen, out the other doorway, and back into the front living room. Dukee looked back at her.
“Do you feel better now?” He asked.
Mia giggled, “Yep.”
She happened to remember that her paper bag handle was under her litter box cabinet. She stretched to reach under it with her front paws but couldn’t quite get it. Sometimes cats find joy in playing with the strangest things and a paper bag handle is one of them for Mia.
“Now what are you doing?” Dukee looked down at her.
“I have my special toy under here but I can’t get it,” Mia pouted.
“Well, your Mom will have to get it for you then,” Dukee said.
“Yeah, I know,” Mia hopped up onto the kitty tower.
“Is there anything outside?” Mia laid down in the cube.
“Nope, nothing at all,” Dukee sighed. “If we are lucky, maybe we will see those deer.”
“Yeah, maybe,” Mia looked out the window.
The two of them just laid there and looked out the window anyways. You never know what kind of critters might show up, especially at night.
