Another half-hour passed and Dukee decided that he wanted to go back into the house. He pawed at the door and meowed but it wasn’t until a few minutes later that Auntie looked and let him in. The clear sliding door is in the family room, so there is another sofa in there. The sofa sits about ten feet from Princess Misa’s bedroom, so she can see anyone if she peeks out her door. When Dukee walked back in from the porch, he turned right to walk in front of the sofa. Little did he know that Mia was crouched down on the floor hiding by the corner of the sofa.
“Boo!” Mia jumped out.
Dukee jumped and looked at Mia, but continued to walk away.
Mia giggled to herself, turned, and went back into her room.
Dukee went into his room to take a nap while Auntie was in the front living room. Mia picked up her lamb-chop toy in her bedroom and carried it to the front living room. She tossed it into the air and hopped after it. That was her favorite toy and she had it with her everywhere she went. Suddenly Mia heard a chirping sound outside, and she jumped up onto her kitty tower which was right by the window. She got herself comfortable and just watched the birds. Mia would say something to the birds, but because Mom and Auntie were in the room it just sounded like a squeak.
The birds fluttered around in and out of the tree that was in the front yard, and Mia loved to watch them. She thought to herself, if only I was outside, I would get those birds. She glanced back at Mom and then back at the window. Then Mia thought, I’m hungry. So she hopped down onto the table where her food was and started to munch.
Mia heard Mom take the plastic ring off the bottle that she had in her hand, and ran over to her. She pawed at Mom’s arm but she continued to talk to Auntie. So Mia pawed harder at Mom’s arm which then got her attention. Mom showed the ring to Mia and she snatched it right from her hand. Those rings are also one of Mia’s favorites to play with. Mia ran off with the ring and tossed it onto the floor. She batted it around and chased after it for a little while until she felt sleepy.
