In the morning detective Williams got up after only sleeping about five hours off and on. All he could do was think about the latest victim and catch the psycho of all these murders. After he showered and got dressed, he headed down to the police station. On his way though he stopped at the coffee shop drive thru to get a tall black coffee. After he pulled out of the parking lot with his coffee in his hand, he got a call from Mr. Mike Cooper.
Williams set his coffee down and answered his phone, “Mr. Cooper, what can I do for you?”
“Detective, my girlfriend has been murdered. She lives on 5610 Eastlake Road,” Mike said.
“Okay, is that where you are right now?”
“Yes.”
“Okay, did you call 911?” Williams asked.
“No, I thought that I would call you first. I’m pretty sure that Gary did it.”
“Well, call 911 and I’m on my way. And stay put,” Williams said.
“I will,” Mike said.
While detective Williams drove across town, he had various thoughts run through his head. Is Cooper the murderer and is trying to pin it on Gary Page? Or did Page do it to get back at Cooper, Williams thought. Just then, officer Dunken called Williams. Before he could say anything to him, Williams told him that if this has anything to do with a murder victim on Eastlake Road, that he’s on his way.
“Oh, okay, but…”
“I’ll explain when I see you,” Williams said to Dunken.
