Detective Williams was sitting at his desk looking at the photos of the three crime scenes when one of the CSI’s walked in with photos from the last crime scene. He looked through the photos that she gave him and noticed something he missed when he was there. It was a photo of a bloody rag lying behind the bushes near the porch.
“Oh, this is interesting. Dunken, we need to make sure that this is being processed,” Williams showed the photo to him.
“Okay, I’ll check with the lab,” Dunken picked up the phone on his desk and dialed.
While Dunken was on the phone with the lab, Williams looked at the other photos and focused on the knife wounds. The reports said that the wounds looked like they were done by a specific serrated knife. This might be it. This might be the connection, Williams thought.
“The lab said that they will get to the rag next. They just finished collecting all the hair and such from the truck,” Dunken said.
Williams looked at Dunken, “Okay… We need a knife expert.”
“A knife expert? What for?”
Williams got up from his desk and motioned for Dunken to follow him. They walked to the chief's office and knocked on the door.
