Detective Williams climbed into his Buick and called officer Dunken. He asked Dunken if he found anything more on George the gardener, and asked him to look into the names Mike and John who work for Landscapers-R-Us.
“First, see if they still work for the company and then find out if they ever did any landscaping for Ms. Gerald, the last victim. I’m going to go back to Ms. Gerald’s home one more time before her son is allowed back in,” Williams said.
“Okay, I’ll call you if I find out anything,” officer Dunken said.
Just before detective Williams started his car, Jeffery ran up to the passenger window. Williams rolled the window down so that Jeffery could tell him something.
“I just remembered Mike’s last name. It’s Cooper, Mike Cooper. And I have seen him a few times at Ms. Bono’s place when he wasn’t working,” Jeffery said.
“Thank you, Jeffery. That helps a lot. And if you think of anything else, please give me a call,” Williams handed him a business card.
