During the night while Jonathan slept in his bed, he had a dream. He was in his front yard and saw the outside of his house. It was the color before he painted it. Jonathan stood there looking at his house when a figure of a young girl in a white nightgown appeared. She glided slowly across the ground toward the backyard. Jonathan followed her as she went down the driveway and around the barn.
As Jonathan walked around the barn, the little girl pointed at the ground behind the barn. He looked at the ground and then at her. Her face appeared disfigured and then she disappeared. Jonathan woke up quickly, sat up, and looked around.
“Oh, it was just a dream,” he plopped back down.
Jonathan rolled over on his right side and fell back to sleep. It wasn’t until seven-thirty am that he woke up. He got up and stretched as he walked toward the bathroom. In the bathroom, he remembered parts of that dream. I wonder if I should call investigator Logan, he thought. Jonathan brushed his teeth and combed his hair, and walked back into his bedroom.
He put on some khaki shorts and a blue t-shirt and trotted down the steps.
“That’s right, I still have clothes in the dryer. Well, I’ll take care of them later,” Jonathan walked over to the coffee maker.
Jonathan got his coffee brewing and walked to the back door. He looked out the window and saw Knight lying in the chair. He opened up the door and walked out onto the porch. Knight opened his eyes, saw Jonathan, hopped down, and ran up to him. He rubbed on Jonathan’s legs as he bent over to pet him.
