Ten pm came around rather quickly while Jonathan watched a few episodes of “Two And A Half Men”. He decided to head upstairs to bed so he could get an early start in the morning. Jonathan went into his bedroom and grabbed his shorts and tank top that he was going to wear to bed. He decided to take a shower before going to bed tonight.
While Jonathan was in the shower, he noticed the water wasn’t going down the drain that fast. He swooshed his foot around the drain and there didn’t seem to be much suction with the water. I wonder when the last time this septic was pumped, he thought. Jonathan finished up his shower and then dried off. He put his night clothes on, shut the bathroom light off, and walked to his bedroom.
Jonathan turned off the bedroom light and climbed into bed. He was feeling a little warm after the shower so he left the sheet off of him. As he stared up at the darkness on the ceiling, his thoughts about everything that has happened bounced around. The past year and even now have been an emotional challenge for Jonathan. And not having anyone close to talk to has been a struggle.
Jonathan rolled over to his left side and closed his eyes. Go to sleep, he thought. About ten minutes passed and Jonathan was able to stop his thoughts long enough to fall asleep. The night turned out to be rather restful until around five am. Jonathan woke up quickly because he thought he heard a woman screaming.
