Jonathan finished his second cup of coffee and walked back into the kitchen. He ran some water to clean up the dishes from last night. With the song “Sweet Emotion” by Aerosmith click here playing on the stereo, Jonathan was feeling energized. He washed up the dishes and wiped down the counter and table.
He grabbed the can of paint/primer and paint supplies from the closet by the back door and set them on the table. I think I’ll sweep this floor first before I paint, he thought. Jonathan grabbed the broom and swept the kitchen floor real good. After all the foot traffic last night it needed it. He poured some paint into the tray and took it and an edging brush back by the back door. He edged around the door frames and the ceiling and then started with the roller.
It took him about two hours to get one coat of paint done in the kitchen. As he looked around at his finished work, one coat should be enough, he thought.
“Good, then I have enough to do my bathroom,” he looked inside the paint can.
Jonathan grabbed a bottle of water from the refrigerator and drank some of it down. Just then, he heard someone pull into the driveway. He walked into the living room and glanced out the front window. It was the crime scene van from last night. He went out the back door and met them as they got out of the van.
“Good morning, I didn’t expect to see you guys so soon,” Jonathan said.
“Yeah, the boss wants those graves dug up to make sure that nothing else is buried there,” the guy said.
