Jonathan swept the dirt into the dustpan and got out of the mover's way. They should be able to put all his boxes in that room now with no problem. Jonathan walked up the hall and went into the other bedroom to sweep up the floor. That leaves one more bedroom that needs the carpet ripped up, but that will happen a different day.
After Jonathan got that bedroom cleaned up, he made his way downstairs. He wanted to get the living room swept up before they moved his furniture in. The couple of water-filled pails that were in the living room, he picked up and carried out the front door. He dumped the water and set the pails on the porch. There were two old throw rugs on the floor too, so he picked them up and tossed them out the door.
He grabbed his broom and swept the living room the best that he could. He swept the debris onto the dustpan and dumped it outside. Now the living room was good enough for now. At a later day, he will do some thorough mopping of all the floors. Jonathan looked around the living room and saw where the cable port was. I guess the TV will go on that wall, he thought.
Jonathan didn’t have a lot of furniture. He figured that he could buy some new stuff, after the move. He brought along the red suede leather sofa that his wife loved. He had two mahogany end tables, his 55” television with a mahogany stand, and his tan leather Arlo recliner.
