The two delivery men carefully unloaded the new refrigerator and put it in place in the kitchen and turned it on. Then they carried in the stove and hooked that up. After that, it was the washer and dryer in the basement. Because the men were there, Jonathan asked one of them if he could help him carry the mattress upstairs. The one delivery man accepted with no problem and even offered to help with the box spring. Jonathan thanked the men, gave them a tip, and they were on their way.
When Jonathan unloaded the rest of the stuff for the roof, he put it in the barn. That way he could take back the truck and not worry about the stuff sitting outside. He went inside the house and opened up the refrigerator. It was already starting to cool down so he closed the door. He locked the back door as he went out it, and then climbed into the truck.
When he arrived at Reinemans he parked the truck. As he walked toward the store he saw Joe down by Big Lots and waved. Jonathan turned in the keys to the truck and walked to his car. The grocery store was just up the street in another shopping center. Jonathan pulled out of that shopping center and drove to the other where the Publix was.
Jonathan grabbed a cart and picked up everything he needed as well as some Michelob Light, some steaks, and lunchmeat. Possibly everything a widowed man would buy for his house. He ended up with about ten full bags of groceries and loaded them into his trunk. He put the cart into the cart corral and climbed into his car. He headed back to his house and enjoyed the country scenery along the way.
When he pulled into his driveway and around the back of the house, he noticed the barn door was open again. He parked his car and got out.
