Jonathan browsed through the channels on the television and found a real crime show. He drank some more water from his bottled and then laid his head back. The house was cooling down real nice which made it very comfortable in the house. He watched some of the show until he dozed off. Fifteen minutes went by when he woke up to a knock at the front door.

He got up to see who it was, opened the door, and it was Gloria.

“Gloria, what a surprise. Please come in,” Jonathan pushed open the screen door.

“Sorry to just drop by, but I had to tell you something that I remembered,” She walked in.

Gloria glanced around the room,” Oh this is nice… I have never seen the inside before,” She said.

“Can I get you anything to drink?” Jonathan asked.

“No thank you, I can only stay a few minutes,” She sat down on the suede leather sofa.

Jonathan sat back down in his chair and listened to what she had to tell him.

“Remember when I said that the previous lady who lived here was around until I no longer saw her husband?” Gloria said.

“Yes,”

“Well, it dawned on me that a week had gone by that I didn’t see her before the whole family disappeared,” Gloria said.

“So she could have left him then,” Jonathan said.

"That’s what I thought at first but I don’t think she would have left without the two kids,” She said.

“How do you know that the kids weren’t with her?” Jonathan asked.

“Because I saw them with their father… He picked them up from school,” Gloria said.
