While Jason sat there in the cafeteria and finished his soda, he quietly talked to God. He looked out the window and asked God to help Julie get well again and to help the doctors figure this whole thing out. Jason had a strong faith and was not sure if this sickness was God given or not. He had never seen or heard of anything like this before.
Just as Jason stood up to leave, a young lady around his age walked over to him. She asked him if he also had someone sick in the hospital, and he said yes. The young lady then started to cry so Jason had her sit down. He handed her his extra napkin for her tears and then sat back down with her. When the young lady composed herself and wiped her nose, she apologized for breaking down. Jason told her that it was alright and that he understands the struggle.
The young lady introduced herself as Nancy Higgins and told Jason that her fiancé Brian fell sick a couple days ago. She said that she rushed him to the hospital after he through up green slime. Jason told Nancy his name and said that he had heard of others do that too but so far his wife Julie has not. Jason asked Nancy if Brian drank that new bottled water before this all happened and she nodded yes.
All of a sudden, Jason saw this guy outside staring up into the sky. Jason tried to look from the window to see what the guy was seeing but all he could see was the building. The guy then hurried in through the door of the building across the courtyard. Jason thought that seemed strange but went back to talking to Nancy. Jason asked her if she had noticed anything else strange lately. Nancy told Jason that before Brian got sick, he started to say strange things. Things like our days are numbered and that we need to have a baby.
Nancy started to cry again because she was afraid that she was going to lose Brian. Jason tried to console Nancy and told her that she can get in touch with him when she needs to. Jason asked Nancy for her phone number and put it into his contacts. He then text Nancy and told her that she should have his number now. When Nancy took her cell phone out of her purse, she saw Jason’s message.
Jason told Nancy that they will find out what is happening and hopefully everyone will be okay. He then asked her if she was okay now because he wanted to get back to his wife Julie. Nancy nodded and wiped the tears from her face. With a soft smile, Nancy thanked Jason for listening and for his phone number. Jason smiled and nodded at Nancy. He then got up and hurried out of the cafeteria. Jason did not want his wife to wake up and not see him by her side. And also the strange things that Nancy told him about Brian concerned him. Was he to expect more strange happenings with his wife, Jason wondered.
When Jason got back to his wife’s room, a nurse was changing the bed linins. Where’s Julie, he asked her. The nurse pointed to the bathroom and told him that the other nurse was helping her. Julie had gotten sick and threw up all over. This concerned Jason so he called out to her. The other nurse then opened up the bathroom door and helped Julie to the clean bed. Julie slowly climbed into bed and laid back down. Jason rushed to her side and asked her if she was okay. Julie nodded yes and tapped Jason on the hand. Julie then requested some water but the nurse told her she had to get the okay from the doctor first.
Jason noticed the look in Julie’s eyes seemed distant. He held her hand and tried to get her to focus on him but she just glanced at him and softly smiled. Jason asked the nurse before she left the room if Julie was given a drug, but the nurse told him no. This did not seem like his wife from earlier, he thought.

Hmmm, green slime, a man looking to the sky, Julie acting different. I have an idea as to who's behind this.
