Happy Easter Monday everyone. I hope that you all had a blessed and grateful Easter. I spent Easter with my lovely sister and we just relaxed most of the day. We did receive videos and pictures from the rest of the family and they looked like they had an enjoyable day too. It will not be long now and we will be back over by the rest of the family again and I am happily looking forward to it. And if you do not know, the reason we will be moving is because our father passed away in March and we can no longer afford to live where we are at the moment.
And Saturday, it was a sad day for me. It was the last day at my job of two years and sixteen days. All the people who work at that store are awesome. I love them all. Since living here in Florida, finding a decent job with great people is very difficult. When I got the job there it was written in the books that I was temporary but that was okay with me because I was just happy to finally have another job. See, I was hired to help transition the store from a regular Belk and into a Belk Outlet.
I had never heard of Belk but that was okay with me. It was ten weeks of hard work and I was tired and sore but it felt great. My boss at that time was impressed by my work and asked me if I would like to stay on as a flex. That is a employee who would be scheduled or called if they had extra hours. Well, it was better then nothing so yes. To make a long story short, I was later put on the part-time pay roll, worked the truck and pushed merchandise to the floor and I loved it.
All the people who work in that store work together as a team. That is the key to success. We all helped each other in order to make that store high in ratings. Well, so Saturday, the ones who had to work wished me well with sad faces and gave me a very touching card. I am sincerely going to miss everyone there…
But anyway, my boss told me that when I get settled into the new place, to just let her know which Belk I would like to get into and she will give them a call. This just goes to show that if you work hard and be respectful at your job, you will be respected too. And you might just find out how many hearts you touch by being a good person too.
On this note of feeling grateful, I want to thank all of my subscribers. Some of you are paid subscribers so I want to thank you very very much for renewing. A lot of you are free subscribers and I want to thank you as well. You all help the work of a writer in different ways. Because I do my writing as a side job, being a paid subscriber does help me especially when I am in between jobs. As a free subscriber, if you hit the like button or heart and share my work, that helps me as well. So, thank you all for your assistance.
Now, the next few weeks I might be missing part of the time because we are trying to finish packing up. We need to be moved out by the end of April so please bear with me. I thank you all again for your love and support. Have a happy day and do not let anyone steel your joy.
