The Day With Dukee And Mia
You have to go to work again mom, Dukee thought as he looked at Auntie. Dukee followed Auntie down the hallway and watched her as she blew him a kiss and went out the front door. Dukee then jumped up onto the bench and watched her as she got into her van.
“Well, it looks like a quiet day with the furball,” Dukee said while looking outside.
“I heard that,” Mia walked into the dining room.
Dukee looked back at Mia, “how long have you been sitting there?”
“Not long, but I heard the front door so I came through the kitchen to see who it was,” Mia giggled.
“Oh, it was just my mom,” Dukee said.
“Yes, I figured that after I saw you sitting there,” Mia said and walked to the narrow window.
Dukee glanced towards Mia and said, “I don't understand why my mom is gone so much now. She never used to be gone this much.”
Mia glanced around the screen porch and said, “well, you want to eat don't you?”
“Well, yeah,” Dukee said and looked back out the window.
Mia took a short cut between the side table and leather sofa, and went into her litter box. Dukee didn't hear anything for a minute or two until Mia started scratching and scratching the side of the litter box.
“Are you trying to bury something or cover your poo?” Dukee snickered.
Mia giggled as she ran out of her litter box and into the hall, “if you must know, I was just moving some of the sand around.”
“Oh, okay,” Dukee said and then licked the top of his paw.
Mia then trotted through the family room and into her bedroom. Dukee laid down on the bench and watched as a squirrel entered into the front yard.
Mia and Dukee don't have anything special in mind for this Sunday, but they do hope that whatever it is that you are doing, that you have a nice time doing it.
