The Day With Dukee And Mia

A day to express some love

Mia was rolling around in the hallway like she does many times. We don’t know if it's a form of exercise for her or if it's just something to get some attention. Whatever it is she usually gets noticed.

Dukee walked out of his bedroom and into the family room. He stopped and looked down the hallway like he does many times. This time he saw Mia laying on her back but looking toward the front door. He quietly walked towards her but his nails gave him away.

Mia swiftly turned her head, “what are you doing?”

Dukee snickered and said, “what am I doing? What are you doing?”

Dukee walked another foot closer to her and sat down. Mia then rolled onto her side and stretched her back legs out.

“There, I got my stretching done and now I feel good,” Mia said.

“You were doing stretching exercises that way?” Dukee asked.

“Yes, but I was twisting a little first,” Mia said.

“Oh, I thought that you were… What is it that your mom says? Being cutesie?” Dukee snickered and then laid down.

“Ha ha. I can't help it that I am though,” Mia giggled.

Dukee thought for a few seconds and then said, “yes, I have to admit, you are a pretty cat.”

Mia looked at Dukee, “thank you. You're color's are pretty nice too.”

“Thank you, I've had them all my life,” Dukee snickered.

Mia couldn't help but laugh at his comment.

“What? It's true,” Dukee said.

“I'm sure it is. You just Crack me up sometimes,” Mia giggled.

“Well, since I moved in here I've seen your colors change some,” Dukee said.

“Well, that's because I was still a kitten when you moved here. Now I'm a young cat and have all my colors,” Mia said.

“Oh… I wonder if I looked different when I was a kitten? To me, I always saw this color,” Dukee said as he looked at his front left leg.

“I think that it might depend on the cat,” Mia said.

“Oh yeah, you're probably right. Speaking of colors though, why did your mom put those red hearts on that tree in the living room,” Dukee asked.

“Oh, for Valentines Day, which is today,” Mia said.

“Oh yeah, my Mom does stuff like that too sometimes. Well, Happy Valentines Day Mia,” Dukee said.

“Happy Valentines Day Dukee,” Mia giggled.

“Happy Valentines Day Everyone,” Mia and Dukee said together. 💝
