There are those ducks again, Dukee thought to himself while he watched them waddle down the road. I wonder what they eat.
It has been about four years since Dukee saw Muscovy ducks. Where we lived on the East coast, I do not recall seeing any visit the yard. But where Dukee and I first met, the ducks came to visit quite often. Where we live now, Dukee has seen and heard seagulls for the first time. He gets to see a few of the local cats that roam the community. And of course a few different birds that land on the bird feeder. Unfortunately for Dukee, there has not been any squirrels visiting yet, probably because of all the cats.
Mia is still unsure of all the change and mostly hangs out in her bedroom. She does periodically venture out and explore the area. But for some reason she does not like the ceiling fan here in the living room. Maybe because it is a darker color then what she was used to. But hopefully when everything starts to settle down more, she will feel more comfortable. It has been a big adjustment for all of us.
Until next week though, Mia and Dukee hope that you take care, stay cool and drink plenty of water because here, it has been HOT.
