Dukee walked out of his bedroom and stopped in the hallway. He decided to peek into Mia’s room to see what she was doing. At the other house it was not that easy to stop by Mia’s bedroom and peek in.
Dukee looked at the bed first and saw Auntie R still sleeping. Then he looked at the floor towards Mia’s litter box cabinet and there she was. Dukee snickered when he saw Mia laying there belly up. But Mia heard Dukee snickere and rolled onto her side.
“What are you doing?” Mia whispered.
“Just looking in at you,” Dukee replies.
Dukee snickered again and then turned toward the living room. Mia watched as Dukee walked away and then rolled back over onto her back. A little breeze on the floof feels good, Mia thought.
Dukee jumped up onto the side table and looked out the window. There he watched one of the community ducks as it walked along the grass and headed toward the road. Then all of a sudden another duck flew past the window. What was that, Dukee thought. He watched as the duck landed near the other duck already in the road.
Dukee has been seeing and hearing quite a few different things here so far. Mia hasn't visited the windows too much yet but she has been content running around and playing in her big bedroom. Some day she will feel relaxed enough to spend most of the day in the living room but until then everyone is doing good.
Until next week, Mia and Dukee hope that you enjoy some fresh air but don't forget to wash your paws when you are done.
