The Day With Dukee And Mia

Mia ran out of her bedroom with her mom not far behind her. She ran to the front of the house and stopped to look back at her mom. Breakfast time, Mia thought. While Mom got Mia’s breakfast, Dukee stayed laying on the blanket near the window. Mia didn’t even know that Dukee was there since he was so quiet and still.

Mom put Mia’s breakfast bowl down on the floor and Mia sniffed it and licked away. Mmm, this is good this morning, Mia thought. As Mom walked into the kitchen, Mia quickly finished most of her tuna/chicken breakfast. When Mia walked away from her bowl, she heard a sound come from the living room. She slowly walked and peeked around the leather sofa. Dukee had just flicked his tail because he was watching a squirrel.

“Mia ran and jumped up onto the kitty tower, “I didn’t know that you were over here.

Dukee looked back at Mia as she climbed up into the tunnel part of the tower, “yep, and I’ve been watching the squirrels. They’ve been running and having fun this morning.”

Mia looked outside and saw the smaller one munching on a mushroom, “I like that one, he’s got cute big ears.”

Dukee looked back out the window, “yes he does doesn’t he?”

“I think that is what makes all of us so special,” Mia said.

“What do you mean?” Dukee looked back at Mia.

“Our difference’s; it makes us all special,” Mia said and then licked her paw.

“Yes, I guess you’re right,” Dukee snickered.

Dukee and Mia want to wish you all a wonderful week no matter what it is that you need to do.
