Mia was in the front living room playing with her fuzzy pink mouse. She then stopped and looked at the birthday wrap that Mom had left on the floor. Mia walked over to it and sniffed the opening. I wonder if I can fit in there, Mia thought. Before Mia did anything else, Dukee walked into the room, jumped up onto the side table, and looked at her.

“What ya doin?” Dukee asked..

Mia examined the opening of the wrapping paper again, “I’m just wondering if I can fit inside this thing.”

Dukee looked at the paper and then looked at Mia, “I don’t think so. At least not all of you.”

“Well, I’m going to try,” Mia bent over and stuck her nose in the opening.

Dukee watched Mia while she shoved her head inside and pushed the paper across the floor.

“I did it,” Mia said while she sat there with the wrapping on her head.

“You know that you only have your head inside it right?” Dukee asked.

“Oh, that’s it?” Mia moved her legs.

“Yes. You can still walk around with it,” Dukee said and snickered.

Mia walked forward and then backed up. She moved her head from side to side. Then she walked forward again and bumped into the coffee table. Dukee watched Mia as she backed up about three feet and swung her head around.

“What’s the matter?” Dukee asked her.

“Well, I think I’m stuck,” Mia said.

Mia sat still and rested the wrapping paper on the floor. She then pushed it across the floor and backed up again.

“Do you need help?” Dukee asked her.

“No, I think I can get it,” Mia swung her head from side to side again.

As she swung her head this time, she felt the wrap move off of her shoulders. Mia backed up onto the rug and moved her head again. She rested the wrapping on the rug and backed up.

Mia pulled her head free from the wrapping paper, “there, I got it,” she shook her head to fluff her fur.

Dukee snickered at Mia and then looked out the window, “are you going to do that again?”

Mia looked at Dukee and jumped up onto the kitty tower, “no, probably not,” she giggled.

In a house with two cats, one doesn’t always know what will happen within a day. Mia and Dukee hope that you don’t get stuck in any uncomfortable situations and that you have a great week.
