Mr. Gunn collected a few more scales to do tests on. He wanted to make sure that it was from a similar creature like before.

“So now that we know there is something else here, what are you going to do?” Joseph asked.

“Well, it seems to only come out at night, so I’ll put up signs with beach hours on it… And have more patrol around here at night. I don’t know what else I can do right now.” Sheriff Brown looked around.

“True, we can’t sit out here every night waiting, besides maybe the boy was mistaken.” Joseph grabbed his backpack.

Mr. Gunn and the sheriff walked off the pier and got into the sheriff’s car. All of a sudden there was a tapping on the sheriff’s window. Sheriff Brown rolled the window down and it was a young woman.
