Sheriff Brown drove along highway one south toward Joeseph Gunn’s lab. The tarp in the back of the truck with the beast in it fluttered some. But he knew that at least this time hauling one of these things, it was dead and he didn’t have to worry about it. The sheriff thought it was a gorgeous day for a drive even though this was still business-related.
Officer Sites called the sheriff not long after he left. The sheriff hit the answer button on the steering wheel. Sites told him that there was another report of some smaller creatures washing up onshore. The sheriff told him that it will be happening for a while because of Red Tide. All they can do is call the county to clean them up. Sites knew then what to tell people if they call.
Officer Benjamin was home from the hospital and healing well. He would be back to duty in about a month. Officer Reese was visiting her elderly friend who lived down near the beach. And officers Jackson and Barkley continued patrolling the area after their short break.
