Officer Reese parked in the area where Jennifer said her and Charlie were last. They got out of the car and walked down to the beach and looked around.

“Charlie… Charlie…” Jennifer cupped her hands and yelled.

“Have you and your brother been anywhere else during your visit?” Officer Reese asked.

“Um… just that one gift shop with the big shark,” Jennifer said.

“Okay, let’s take a drive over there and check… Maybe he went there,” Reese scanned the area as they walked back up to the road.

“My parents are going to kill me,” Jennifer looked at her cell phone.

“Don’t worry we’ll find him,” officer Reese said.

They climbed into the patrol car, and Reese drove them over to the gift shop. The two of them went inside but there was no Charlie. Officer Reese even talked to the clerk there and they hadn’t seen any boy by himself.
