When the next morning came around, officer Sites was back and at his desk. Officer Jons couldn’t be happier because he dislikes being stuck at the station. Officers Jackson and Barkley walked in around the same time as Jons was leaving to go home. It was again a beautifully bright sunny warm morning, and the beach will probably have lots of visitors.
Officer Barkley saw the note that Jons had left and called the county office right away. They said that they would send some people to clean up Varn’s park in an hour. Jons had already given the rundown on everything that’s been happening to officer Sites, so Jackson and Barkley could go about their day. Those two were scheduled to patrol as a team today, and Jackson wanted to drive.
“We’re going to flip for it,” Barkley pulled out a quarter.
“Heads,” officer Jackson called out.
