Sheriff Brown dragged the washtub out of his truck and dumped the water that was in it. He placed the washtub back onto the bed of his truck and went back inside the police station. Officer Jons started to tell the sheriff how the visitors at the beach handled the closing of the water.
“So for the most part everyone down there seemed to be compliant with it all?” The sheriff asked.
“Yes sir, they did,” Jons took a drink of soda.
Sheriff Brown went on to explain that for at least the first few days, he wanted foot patrol by the beach. That way someone can make sure that people are staying out of the water. He appointed officer Reese to start it off down there, for the rest of the afternoon. The sheriff also went on and talked about having another stakeout on the beach. He wanted to try and capture that large adult creature that had been seen.
“Sheriff, are you going to have officer Benjamin with us again since he is our best marksman?” Jons asked.
