Sheriff Brown handed the yellow police tape to officer Reese. He then jammed one of the stakes in the sand about five feet out from the pier. Reese wrapped and tied one end of the tape to the pier, and pulled it out to the stake. The sheriff jammed the other stake in the sand, and Reese continued with the tape.
“What are you going to do with that thing sheriff?” A young man looking over the railing of the pier asked.
“A marine biologist friend of mine is going to take it and study it,” the sheriff looked up at him.
“How are you going to move it?” A little boy asked as he peeked through the railing.
Sheriff Brown looked at officer Reese, and then looked at the boy, “You know, that is a very good question… I’m not really sure.”
