While sheriff Brown and Joseph were by the sheriff's truck, a skinny, rough-looking man walked up. He watched as the sheriff moved the small beast from the washtub into the cooler for Joseph.

“Good afternoon sheriff, I’m Ralph Conner’s.”

“Nice to meet you, Ralph… This is Joseph Gunn, he’s a marine biologist who has been working with me,” the sheriff shook his hand.

“Good to meet you,” Ralph shook Joseph's hand.

“I understand that you have some things to tell me about South Carolina and these creatures?”

“Yes sir, I do according to your officer,” Ralph said.

Joseph put the cooler in the back of his car and then followed the sheriff and Ralph to his office. The three of them were probably in the sheriff’s office for about an hour. Ralph told them all about how the beasts took over the beach line up there. He said that they were lucky to not have any reported deaths from them, but many attacks.
