Officer Reese drove the strip by the beach with Jennifer and had her run inside each business. So far there was no sign of Jennifer’s little brother Charlie.
“Is it true what I heard on the news last week?” Jennifer asked.
“What do you mean?” Officer Reese drove up to the pier.
“The sheriff said something about creatures that come out of the water… What if one got Charlie?” Jennifer cried.
Reese put her hand on Jennifer's shoulder, “Jennifer, we are going to find your brother.”
Jennifer looked at officer Reese and nodded her head.
“How about we walk the beach in the other direction… maybe he got distracted and forgot where he was supposed to be,” Reese looked Jennifer in the eyes.
“Okay,” Jennifer wiped her tears.
