Officers Jons and Jackson were surprised to find a parking spot by the pier. Jons gathered up the plastic barrier netting and stakes from the trunk of the car, and Jackson grabbed the signs. They walked down onto the beach as close as they could get to the water. Jons first called out to everyone who was in the water and tell them to come in. Officer Jackson started to hammer posts into the sand about five feet apart from each other.

“You can still enjoy the beach but for your own safety, please stay out of the water,” officer Jons yelled.

“What’s going on officer?” a lady asked as she walked out of the water.

“This is for your safety Maam… There are creatures in the water that could harm you,” Jons said.

“I haven’t seen anything,” a gentleman said.

“I’m sorry but these are precautionary measures that we are taking,” Jackson spoke up.

Jons and Jackson made sure that everyone was out of the water, then proceeded to put the barrier up. Some of the people left the beach while others sat and enjoyed the sunshine.
