I know that life can get busy sometimes. Busy doing work stuff. Busy with the family activities. Busy with school things. The list could go on.
But, sometimes you just need to slow down and get outside and have some fun. Get your kids out of the house and take them to the beach or a park. Surround yourself with nature and listen to the sounds. There is something about the sounds of birds chirping or waves rolling that is soothing to many people. Feeling the breeze blowing even slightly is refreshing too.
And the funny thing is, getting outside is cheap therapy. When we stay in the house all the time, it can get boring. The air gets stale, things become annoying and we can get grumpy. Yes, some of us have allergies to outdoor elements. But unless you have a spectacular air filtration system in your home, that air can have allergens too.
So, why not get outside at least an hour a day. Even if it is just out in your own yard. Or make sure that at least once a week, go somewhere and enjoy some beautiful landscape and get some fresh air. I don't know what it's like around you but I'm sure that there is some sort of park or nature trail near you. Take your family or go alone. Either way, you will benefit from it.
