The title of this post is important because it is something that we all need and deserve. Sleep, the cuddling up somewhere nice and resting the weary brain and body. Being able to get 6-8 hours of continuous rest and then feeling refreshed when you wake up.
The last two days I have had broken sleep, because of inventory for my job. For example, I have had to get up at 2 and 3 am in order to go to work. Now, I'm not complaining, I just want to point out that I appreciate it when I get good sleep and enough of it.
See, our bodies need to rest and recuperate. If we don’t get enough sleep our brains won't function as well and our bodies can become ill. This morning I noticed the slow brain function from the lack of sleep. If any of you have ever done inventory before, then you know that it is tedious. After repetitious counting and with a tired brain you kind of forget which number you were just thinking.
“Did I just count 67 or 77?”
So, I have one more day of inventory and then I can get back to my usual sleep schedule. I am also thankful to my respectful sister who also let's me nap some during the day. I know that some of you might not be as lucky. With busy familiesand such. I also know that some of you don't get the sleep that you need on a regular basis. But, you need to find a way to get more rest. Without rest, accidents can happen easier and your health can start to decline. You want to stay healthy don’t you?
So, talk to your family or your doctor and figure out how you can get more rest. It will benefit you and your family if you feel more rested, rejuvenated, and energized. And remember, you deserve it.
