I remember when I was young and wore blue eye shadow and other facial makeup to look extra pretty. There was and still is nothing wrong with that but sometimes simplicity is better. Just like a flower bed with a few blooming flowers in it is simple, yet pretty and pleasing.
You don't need to go overboard all the time to be accepted and be loved. And that goes for many things in life. Simple pleasure's such as an ice cream date night is just as good as a night out on town. Or buying a nice affordable place to live can be more comfortable price wise than a five bedroom house.
If we all learn to accept and enjoy the simpler things in life, the constant want for more will lessen and we will be happier. Just like what architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe always said, “less is more”. He believed in creating a space with less in it to keep harmony and peace. I've learned over the years that he was right.
Having or wanting a lot does not always lead to happiness. Same as a pretty face doesn't always show who they really are. Until next time, have a wonderful day and God bless.
