Sometimes we may say or do something that can hurt another person's feelings. And because we are human and make mistakes most people feel horrible after doing it. That has been happening to me lately. I have been struggling with my control over my frustrated emotion for some reason. I am not exactly sure why but I have to do something about it.
If you notice that you have been struggling with your emotions try some self-care. And what I mean by that is doing a few of these things that I mention here.
First, talk to a family member or friend about the problem. Sometimes another person's perspective can help.
Second, take some time away even if it is just a day and do something fun. When you do something that you enjoy, it will help to relieve some of the mental tension that you are probably holding.
Third, do some Journaling. Write down anything that might be on your mind. Put it on paper because when you write out the problem or situation it might not be as bad as you think. But if you still think it is, writing it down can get it out of your head which makes it easier to deal with.
Fourth, get some exercise. Take a walk or a jog. Do some cardio. By getting the body moving more it can help relieve the mental and physical tension.
And finally, sit down and meditate. When you meditate, focus on your breathing. Feel the deep breaths and listen to them. In your head, tell yourself to breathe in and breathe out. By doing this, it will bring your mind back to the present moment. And after ten minutes or so, you can hopefully clear your mind of all the aggravation or sadness that you might be feeling.
Meditation is something that I also need to do more of. All of these suggestions that I mentioned if done on a regular basis will help free your mind more. It will take the focus off of the problems and give you more mental clarity. And with mental clarity, you should be able to make better decisions instead of giving into your emotions.
Until next week, have a wonderful day and God bless.
