Some of you who know me know that I don’t have any children of my own by choice. But I do have two beautiful and wonderfully intelligent nieces. They are both warm and caring women who are sisters but complete opposites from each other. They have their own preferences in life and fulfilling careers. They are both married and have responsibilities of their own. With both of them I feel pure joy when I get to see them.
I was just a kid when my nieces were born but I have always loved them. They were happy girls and rarely caused any trouble while growing up. Just like many kids, they struggled with different situations. But they grew into two of my favorite people. Two women with beauty and brains who know what they want in life. I am so proud of both of them for who they are. Beautiful, smart, courageous, talented, loving, and sensitive women. They both even blessed me with more nieces to love. My oldest niece married someone so special that I can call her my niece as well. And my youngest niece and her husband created a beautiful little girl who is my great niece.
Seeing the love and joy that they all have for one another gives me pure joy. I may not have the joy of my own children but I am blessed by my sisters children. Blessed that they keep me involved in their lives. Loved by them through their encouragement and sharing. I am thankful to be a part of their lives and grateful to have a family that is so loving. These young ladies may not be my own children but I couldn’t ask for any of them to be more perfect. I love you all very much and thank you for bringing me such joy.
This might not be one of my usual type newsletters but I wanted to share the love I have for the nieces. I’m sure that there is someone or people in your life that you have a strong connection with. Let them know how you feel because there might come a time when it might be too late. Take care and God bless.
This is very special!
