Ben was able to do the handstand on the table but he had a difficult time bringing in the small stand to move on to. The stand was so tall and wobbly so Ben was afraid of the possible fall that he might do with it.

“Ben, if you can't do that second move right away, it's okay. It could be a move that you can incorporate later,” Titto said.

Ben stood up on the stool, “but don't you think that the trick would be better right away with both parts?”

“Well, you can do one of your own tricks with the first one.”

“But…”

“Listen kid, when performing each week, you have to learn to pace yourself. If you do all your great moves in one week, eventually you'll struggle to come up with new material. Now, I have to get ready for my show,” Titto said.

Ben understood it more when he put it that way. But he continued to work on that move with the small stand. He was able to pick up the stand with his one hand while doing his handstand, but he just didn’t have the courage yet to finish the move.

“Ben, are you going to come and watch our show?” Jolene peeked her head in the door.

“Oh, sure I am,” Ben grabbed his shirt and quickly put it on.

He didn’t realize that it was okay for fellow circus folk to watch the shows. Ben was excited to see their full performance. Not to mention the clown act as well.

Ben walked toward the big top tent and saw many people lined up and slowly going inside.

“Hey Ben, come in this way,” Tabby called out to him.

Ben smiled and trotted around to the back side of the tent. He followed Tabby inside and saw a large crowd already in the grandstands. He was amazed and pleased to see so many people attend the circus. This gave Ben even more drive to put together the perfect act.

“Here, let’s sit over here,” Tabby said as she guided the way.

Ben sat down next to Tabby and asked her what her job was at the circus.

“Oh, Daddy lets me sing during intermission and I do errands sometimes but otherwise I don’t work here,” Tabby said.

“Who is your Daddy?

“Oh, he’s your boss and owner of this circus.”

“Demon Dave is your father?”

Tabby giggled, “do you have a problem with that?”

Ben paused for a minute, “well, he is my boss, but if he doesn’t mind me spending time with you, that’s cool.”

A couple of minutes passed and then some entrance music played. In from the other side walked Demon Dave in a black tuxedo and top hat. Along with the audience, Tabby clapped for her father. Ben also clapped out of respect for his boss. Demon Dave introduced himself and welcomed everyone to the show. He then gave a little rundown as to what the visitors will see today and then introduced the first act.

When Tabby’s dad was done, he walked over to where she sat.

“I see that you met young Ben here,” Demon Dave said.

“Yes Daddy and he has been very kind to me,” Tabby said and then gave her Dad a kiss on the cheek.

“Well Ben, make sure that you continue to be nice to my little girl. And I expect to see a good performance from you soon.”

“I will sir, don’t you worry,” Ben smiled.

“I’m not worried,” Demon Dave said and then whispered in Ben’s ear, “but you should be.”

Ben was shocked and puzzled by what his boss just said to him. What did he mean by that, he wondered.
