Many of us go to a place where we work various hours a week. This is a good thing but it can get stressful. I am very grateful for my job and the people I work with. But sometimes the higher up people in a company breathe their grumpy breath down on the workers below them. This can lead to a day or more of unnecessary stress on the rest of the crew.
So, what do you think helps with this stress of work? A few days off. This is one good thing about working a part time job. As much as I would enjoy having a forty-hour paycheck, the few days off from the job is beneficial to me. It gives my body and brain a break from that working world. But don’t get me wrong. When I’m off from there, I do caregiving, housecleaning, yard work and my writing. I usually keep myself busy with one or the other. But I also take time to rest completely. Sometimes I just watch TV or go outside and listen to mother nature. Sometimes I read or do something crafty.
Having days off breaks up the monotony that many of us deal with. So, don’t feel bad if you need a few days off from your job. When you give yourself a break, it will not only benefit you, but also everyone you come in contact with. The break freshens your brain and helps you to feel better about most things that you need to do. It gives you a chance to reflect and feel at peace. If you start to dread going to your job a little to often, then you need a break. Don’t get burnt out, take a few days off.
Until next week, have a wonderful day and God bless.
