That evening when Drew and his family went back home, Pa sat down with his young ones. He asked his daughter Olivia if she knew what death was. She said that death was when our flesh dies and the spirit inside of us moves on. Happy to hear that she remembered what they were taught, Pa went on to tell Olivia and Jack that Mr. Otto Fishwick did die.
Pa looked directly at Olivia and Jack’s face and said, “it is okay if you feel sad and cry about this because it’s natural. But the way Mr. Fishwick died was not natural. It was cruel and unnecessary.”
“Does this mean that we are moving now?” Jack asked.
