Tia and her students searched the forest not far from their village and found various types of foliage, berry branches, and rocks. Even a few of her older students flew high up into the trees to pick new growth leaves. Tia even ran into Greck and a couple of his bugger friends while browsing the woods.
“Hello Greck,” Tia said when she saw him swing down on a long vine near her.
“Seekers go, come back soon?” Greck asked.
“Yes, Greck, the seekers will be back soon. And when they do we will find out what’s going to happen,” Tia said.
“Bugger’s fight, help forest,” Greck grunted.
“Well, I don’t know if it will come to that, but we will have to wait and see. Now, be on your way Greck and let me get back to my students,” Tia said.
Greck climbed up the tree next to Tia and jumped to another tree that stood about three feet away. Tia looked down and noticed something shiny peeking through the dirt. She moved some of the dirt away and saw a piece of gold marine link chain. For her size, it looked as big as a chain that a ship would use only in gold.
“Bo… Come here please,” Tia called out.
Tia’s cousin Bo flew over to where she was standing, “what’s wrong?
“Look at this,” she pointed, “does this mean that humans have been through here?”
Bo looked at the piece of broken chain, ”it sure looks like it.”
“Okay, we must get back to the village then,” Tia said with panic in her voice.
“Relax cousin, we’d hear them if they were still here. Besides it’s probably been laying there for a while now,” Bo said.
Realizing that Bo was probably right, Tia flew up and looked around. The only one’s she saw wandering around were her students, and Jack and Olivia. As long as she was flying over them, she called for them to head towards her voice.
“Okay everyone, let’s head back to the school grounds now,” Tia flew down and landed.
While Tia rounded up her students and went back to school, Niko hid behind a door at the construction site while another human walked inside. The man sat down and started to explain how the entrance of the subdivision was going to look.
