I know quite a few people who have a critter of some kind in their life. Whether it is dogs, cats, rabbit’s, fish, birds, or even a snake. I've heard that some people have even let squirrels into there family. Whatever kind of a critter it is, it gives us all some kind of pleasure. I know that spending time with my cat and playing with him is a pleasure to me. And I'm pretty sure he enjoys time with me too. It helps both of our mental health.
Now, the squirrel in the photo above came for visit as we were sitting at a picnic table at a park. It was quite a surprise to see how close it came to us without being too nervous about it. It is something that simple that made us smile and feel good. The pleasure of a little critter trusting us enough to come visit.
Now, I know that not all of you can have a critter living with you. But, have you ever gone to a humaine society? It is possible to volunteer at one which will give you a chance to be around some animals. Otherwise, you can visit the zoo or even pet stores. At the pet store you can see some Guinea Pigs, different lizards, cats, and more. And the zoo can have an abundance of animals to see. Of course you probably won't be able to touch the animals there. Or, just go to a park or nature preserve, you never know what you will see.
My point to this post is that, animals/critters can bring pleasure and joy to almost anyone. Watching or caring for something special can take our minds away from our own problems, even if it is only for a little while.
So, are you going to spend more time with your critters if you have them? Are you going to venture out and look for some in nature? Let me know and tell me how it makes you feel.
I did a Happy Thoughts post today because I have to work later. Until next time, have a wonderful day and God bless.
