Hello everyone. I hope that you all are doing well. This thought of mine might be because I am older and find family and memories important. My thought is that you need to have your family close and create lots of memories. Yes, there was a time in my life when I was young and did not give that a lot of thought, but I definitely have the last five years.
Most generally the people who love you the most, like family, should be kept close. They are the ones who will usually do what they can for you and see that you are cared for. And visa versa. I am very lucky to have such a wonderful family. And thanks to my mother who always had a camera in her hand, we all learned how to make memories.
Memories can be made anywhere and at anytime. You can capture them with a camera, with your mind, and even on paper. I do not know if journaling is still a thing but that is also a way too hold onto memories.
My sister and I have been packing up to move and we ran across some journaling that our mother did. She wrote about a trip to Daytona that the three of us did together. That sure brought back some memories for us. Some of it we did not remember but there it was written down on paper through the thoughts of our mom.
Creating memories can take some thought and care especially when children are involved. The youngest member of our immediate family is only two and a half years old. So, watching her grow and making memories from now on will be fun. Being a part of her life along with the rest of the family will hopefully bring good times all around. I am truly looking forward to being close again to the rest of my family.
Do you enjoy making memories? How do you capture them so that you can remember them later?
Until next time, have a wonderful day and God bless.
Keep those journal pages safe and available to read for your other family members. After our Grandma Hockman (mom's mother) passed away mom and dad had to clean out her house. Mom kept a lot of stuff from that house. When we lost mom dad told my sister and I to look through her geneology stuff. We found a journal our great-grandma made about their covered wagon trip from Kansas up to Michigan. I made photocopies of all the pages. That was an awesome find. She wrote about all the things they saw and did on that trip and also several others. All the plants, birds, butterflies etc. Such memories are wonderful.
I love this ! Photos and journaling is a great way to remember memories !!
