“What is that sound?” A ground beetle from below asked.
“Sounds like a new gadget to me,” another replied.
“Yes, it does sound similar to what the human used before, but this one is all over the yard.”
“Well, that's because this human is cutting all the grass with it.”
“They aren't using that machine this time?” The first ground beetle asked.
“Nope, and I think it's the person who lives in the house doing it too.”
“Oh, really? Interesting.”
“Yep,” the other beetle said after peeking up through the grass.
“Well, they seem to use this gadget longer, but it seems less earth shaking this way.”
“That's true it is calmer.”
“I wonder if they will continue to cut the grass that way?” The first beetle said.
“I don't know but I guess we'll find out.”
“I might just have to go up there early and check it out.”
“Yes, when it seems all quiet we should?” The second beetle said.
“We could enjoy some fresh cut greens while we're up there too.”
“Yes, indeed, I will like that,” the second beetle said.
Ever wonder what the insects of our world think when us humans are working in our yards? I'm sure there are bugs down below the grass that hear us with our lawn tools. Do you think they dig deeper into the earth to keep their distance from us? I know that some of the flying insects are pesty when you're sweaty.
I did this silly story because I cut our front lawn with a weed wacker. Our lawn guy retired recently, so to save money, I decided to take care of the lawn myself. The only thing is, a weed wacker is all we can afford at the moment. But, this Bauer brand weed wacker that I bought impressed me. I am very happy with the power this tool has.
Anyway, I hope that you all enjoyed this silly story. Please let me know what you think.
I'm sure ground bugs do hide or run for cover when we come near their area. Unless they are fighting bugs that protect their area by attacking us. Ugh !
