While Joann looked online for missing persons in their area, Dr. Green walked into Linda’s room. He asked them how they all are doing today and unwrapped the gauze from Linda’s head. As Dr. Green looked at the incision on the side of Linda’s head, he told them that he has good news. He said that because Linda is doing very well, she should be able to go home later today. Linda smiled from ear to ear while Dr. Green taped a smaller piece of gauze back over the incision.
“The incision looks really good but give it one more day covered and then you can remove the gauze for good,” Dr. Green said.
The doctor also asked Linda how her appetite has been, and if she is remembering any more of her abduction. Cathy spoke up and told Dr. Green that she has slowed down and is eating more normally. Linda said that she remembers bits and pieces off and on about her abduction but didn’t tell him about the vision in the mirror. Joann asked Dr. Green if Linda will ever get all of her memory back from those missing days. Dr. Green pointed out that he’s not an expert in that area but he has heard that many people recover completely from this type of amnesia.
Dr. Green also stated that the implant that was in Linda’s head was a foreign implant though which may make her recovery slower. Joann acknowledged him and then went back to looking at her cell phone. Cathy walked out into the hall and talked to the doctor a few minutes more and then thanked him for all his care.
Cathy walked back into Linda’s room and smiled, “It will be so nice to have you home again dear.”
“Yes, I can’t wait to get out of here and get back to my normal life,” Linda said.
“But that means I’ll be headed back to Texas soon,” Joann spoke up.
“Well, you picked that school,” Linda looked over to Joann.
“I know I did,” Joann looked up from her phone.
“Well, let us enjoy the next couple of days together before Joann has to go back,” Cathy said.
“We will,” Linda smiled.
At the police station, Becky walked in holding Steve’s fully charged cell phone, “I’m looking for deputy Dean, is she here?”
Deputy Rhonda Dean walked out of the restroom and down the hall when she heard her name, “here I am Becky.”
Becky rushed over to deputy Dean and handed the cell phone to her. Becky told her that Steve captured the alien craft and a full view of one of the aliens. Deputy Dean watched the video and was shocked by what she saw. This was for sure proof that aliens do exist and have visited Salt Lake preserve. A couple of other deputies that heard the video gathered around Becky and Rhonda so that they could see the proof. One of the deputies didn’t believe it and said that it was probably a setup, but deputy Dean believed it and Becky as well.
When sheriff Luis walked into the station, deputy Dean told him about the video. He asked Rhonda and Becky to come into his office so that he could view it. The sheriff put his coffee cup down on his desk along with his hat.
“Please, have a seat,” the sheriff said to Becky.
Becky sat down while Rhonda stood by the sheriff’s desk. Sheriff Luis watched the first seven minutes of the video and saw a large grey craft with the shining bright light. He heard Steve’s voice narrating what he was seeing which sounded excited but also stressed. The sheriff continued to watch as it seemed Steve was being lifted closer to the craft. He was stunned when he saw a full head and upper body shot of an alien appear in the open doorway. It looked as if the alien was pulling Steve into the spaceship before Steve dropped the phone to the ground. Because the phone landed with the camera facing up, the sheriff watched as the spaceship door closed and then slowly moved out of the view of the camera.
Sheriff Luis continued to watch the video as it lay on the ground when he heard Becky’s voice calling out for Steve. He could only see the dark but starry sky now but could hear the zipper on the tent and then Becky crying. The sheriff sat at his desk and looked at Becky. This must have happened or she is a very good actress, he thought.
“What do you think sheriff?” Deputy Dean looked at him.
“Well, you might have some proof here but I still want your friend Peter to put up those cameras at the preserve. I want proof that I know was captured professionally,” the sheriff said.
“Okay, you got it. I’m meeting him in a few hours,” Rhonda said.
The sheriff asked Becky a few questions about that night just to verify his curiosity, and then let her go home. He also had Steve’s cell phone put into evidence for safekeeping. With all the reports and stories that sheriff Luis has heard on the alien subject, this one was the most convincing one to him.
